3 Spots to Get Eiffel Tower Photos Without Crowds

A symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most famous monuments in the world. You can imagine how crowded it can be at any time of the day. You cannot go to Paris and not take at least one touristy photo with the Eiffel Tower. A lot of people flock over to Trocadero for their photos, so you will for sure have to compete with hundreds of other tourists to get the best shot. Inevitably though, you will have a crowd somewhere in your photo. However, if you walk a little further away, you will find that there are actually more spots without nearly as many people. Here are 3, less crowded places to get all your Eiffel Tower shots. The best part, they’re all within walking distance from each other!

1. Avenue de New York — a short walk down from Trocadero, you’ll come across this street which borders the Seine River. Avenue de New York stretches from Pont de l’Alma to Pont d’Iena, the bridge that will leave straight up in front of the tower. Because of its direct connection to the Eiffel Tower, you will find that the portion of the street closest to the bridge is crowded with tourists sitting along the edge. If you walk a little further away from the bridge, you will find lots of space for photos amongst the shades of the trees. If you frame your shot carefully, you will get the Eiffel Tower perfectly bordered by the trees.

2. Rue de Buenos-Ayres — once you cross the Iena bridge to the Eiffel Tower, you’ll make a right until you reach Avenue de Suffren, at which point you’ll make a left. You’ll come across Castel Cafe, which is one the corner of a cute little street known as “Rue de Buenos-Ayres,” which also has a great view of the Eiffel Tower in the background. Being that there’s a popular cafe here, you may come across more people taking photos as they pass by. If you’re patient enough, you’ll get the perfect shot without people in the background.

3. Avenue des Camoens — Another short road, this hidden photo gem is tucked away between Rue Benjamin Franklin and Bd Delessert. From Trocadero, you’ll head towards Avenue de New York but instead, make a right on Avenue des Nations Unies just before Avenue de New York. It goes on a little curve, but eventually you’ll come across a small monument in front of a staircase which leads up to the viewpoint. It’s also signed “Avenue des Camoens,” so you can’t miss it. Of these 3 spots, I personally loved this one best. Only a couple of people passing by, but because it’s so hidden, not many people know about the amazing view from here.
