5 Photo-Worthy Spots in Woodstock, Vermont
Fall foliage in Vermont is one of the best times of the year there, and it’s even better if you’re in one of the most picturesque towns in the state: Woodstock! There are lots of great photo spots in this cute town. Here’s my list of 5 photo-worthy spots in Woodstock, Vermont!
Woodstock Inn & Resort
This first photo spot is actually a luxury 4-star resort right in historic Woodstock. As you can expect with any luxury resort, the nightly cost is a bit pricey, but you can still enter the gardens at the entrance for a photo!
Middle Covered Bridge
Vermont is home to hundreds of covered bridges, and there are two bridges in Woodstock definitely worth a photo. This cute bridge is easy to miss if you’re walking by too quickly, but it’s just down and across from the Woodstock Inn and Resort. It’s a popular photo spot, so you might have to wait in a small line to get your photos in.
Taftsville Covered Bridge
This next covered bridge is just outside of historic Woodstock, right in between Woodstock and Quechee. It’s a functioning bridge, but there is some parking space around the bridge for you to get out for some photos.
Sleepy Hollow Farm (& Cloudland Rd)
This has to be the most iconic spot in Woodstock, and my absolute favorite! I almost didn’t get to come here, because I saved this place for last, and on that last day in Woodstock it rained ALL day. I decided to just go for it even in the rain, and I’m so glad I did! The rainy day made the scenery even more perfect, plus that meant less people around! Sleepy Hollow Farm will pop up on any photos you search of Woodstock. It makes for such a beautiful backdrop! Also, you’ll find that as you drive towards the farm, pretty much any spot on Cloudland Rd is perfect for fall photos!
Quechee Gorge
This last spot is actually in a town just outside of Woodstock, but it’s so close that you will for sure have time to visit (like less than 15 mins away close). If you driving from Woodstock to Quechee, you’ll eventually pass this spot as your driving. Make sure to park near the Quechee gift shop though so that you can get some great photos of the Quechee Gorge. Just outside of the gift shop, you’ll find a map of Quechee and some stairs. This is the entrance to hike all the way down to the Gorge. I didn’t hike down, but I did read that the best view is actually from the top.
Plan for your next trip to Woodstock! Save this post on Pinterest for later!
