7 Things You’ll Need For Your Bucketlist Trip to the Dead Sea!

Dead Sea Packing Guide

Floating in the Dead Sea is definitely a bucketlist moment! It sure is a unique and fun experience, but make sure to have these items packed for you trip! Here’s my packing guide for the Dead Sea:

  1. DryPak case — a DryPak case is a must for the Dead Sea! You will definitely want to get lots of photos while you float in the water, and a DryPak case will allow you to use your photo while in the water and still avoid getting your photo dirty and wet.

2. Flip flops and/or water shoes — while you can wear flip flops to a Dead Sea beach, as you get closer to the edge of the water, you’ll find that there’s lots of sharp rocks. You will also start to see some salt crystals as you get closer to the water, so make sure to change into water shoes once you get in. I walked barefoot and ended up with lots of scrapes which then burned once I got into the Dead Sea. You’ll be much more comfortable in water shoes.

And of course, make sure to have the typical essentials for any trip to the beach:

3. Strong sunscreen

4. Bathing suit and change of clothes (you don’t want to have all that salt on you for the rest of the day, there are changing rooms available)

5. Sunglasses

6. Beach towel
